One of the many branches of Youth With A Mission is called Kerygma Teams.<\/p>\n
“Kerygma” means “proclaiming the Good News of Jesus the Christ”, and is a term that is particularly used in the Catholic world.<\/p>\n
In 1965 after Vatican II, the last Catholic church council which brought incredible changes, the Holy Spirit was poured out in a new way in the Catholic world. It is estimated that about 10% of all Catholics worldwide were touched by the Holy Spirit and brought into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Many of them have formed prayer groups and\/or communities in which they meet for worship, teaching, fellowship and prayer. They often have a zeal for evangelism and are involved in what the late pope John Paul II called for “a re-evangelization of the Catholic church”. In Slovakia hundreds of Catholic prayer groups exist and YWAM Slovakia has been ministering in many through teaching, discipleship and counselling.<\/p>\n
The Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Slovakia is therefore open to staff and students from the Catholic world that have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
